When an Accident Happens

An accident, no matter how small, is always a stressful situation. Quotes, insurance, repairs - not to mention finding a reliable workshop that you can depend on to get your car back to the "good-as-new" condition it was in.

Bell's Coach Works is here to help.

Follow these easy steps to ensure that your accident repair process is as painless as possible:

  1. Contact your broker or insurer. Inform them that your vehicle has been damaged or involved in an accident.
  2. Fill in the claim form that your broker or insurer will send you.
  3. Submit the claim form, together with two (this will depend on your insurer) quotes, to your broker or insurer.
  4. Get the damage assessed. Your insurer will appoint an assessor. The job of the assessor is to ensure that the price quoted is fair and reflects the damage sustained in the accident. The assessor is also able to negotiate and agree on the quote with the repairer, thus speeding up the repair process.
  5. Review the final quote. We will contact you to inform you that your repair has been authorised. Should you not agree with the assessment, please contact the assessor.
  6. Approve the quote. Once you and your insurer have approved the quote, we will book the job in and order parts.
